ALL HAIL SUMMER SUNDAYS!

Sunday evening is fast approaching. The wondrous time slot where many summer shows have come to nestle for our viewing pleasure. Which basically means I have an overworked DVR and not enough recording capability. Thank the TV Gods for those encore showings! It’s a particularly special Sunday. Why? San Diego Comic Con kicked off on Thursday and will be wrapping up today. What does that mean? Panels with all of the actors and creators. Series teasers and new promos. Unique glimpses into the words of cosplay. Let’s just say the geek world is reinvigorated. If you were like me and could not attend this glorious event. Check your Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube for all the amazing details!

So, what’s on tap for shows tonight? A bit of witchy fun and family intrigue with the “Witches of East End” on Lifetime. Some swashbuckling heroics with “The Musketeers” on BBC America. The continued saga of alien-human warfare of “Falling Skies” on TNT. A blood sucking good time with “The Strain” on FX, where vampires are finally scary again. And if you’re lucky enough to enjoy what HBO has to offer, you can catch some of the final season of “True Blood” and more of the flagship season of “The Leftovers.”

Enjoy your Sunday! I know I intend to…in between those “Game of Thrones” DVDs I’m working my way through.
